2010 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Overview

People fail to realize that cars are to men as clothes are to women. It's always about how you look, how you feel, how exclusive your style is that matters. It doesn't matter if it's a $10,000 Gucci purse or the original Bugatti Type 57 that whets your appetite because at the end of the day its about the emotions that are evoked within, the shear joy and pleasure of enjoying the marvel of design, the ingenuity of product engineering and the selfish knowledge that it's yours. So what better way to spend your kidney sale than to buy something to do just that? Prior to September of 2011, I would have recommended the purchase of a Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 but all 300 production versions have already been sold. You would be all out of luck, except for the fact that a more expensive, powerful and exotic version exists: the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
What better way to tell the world that you've successfully earned enough money to pay the $2.6 million USD price tag? What better way to evoke sheer enjoyment than to slam the accelerator to the floor and feel all 1,184 horses forcing your head against the headrest as you go 0 to 60 mph in 2.2 seconds and on to an electronically limited top speed of 258 mph, which, by the way, is just 10 mph shy of the world record. It's important to note that the top speed is limited to 258 mph due to the fact that the $20,000 set of tires will literally explode if the Super Sport goes any faster.
Once you begin to understand the depth of meaning this car will bring to your garage, you will start to appreciate the value of the Super Sport. Although retaining the majority of the original Bugatti Veyron 16.4 styling, it does feature some enhanced aerodynamics to undoubtedly allow it to maintain stability at 200+ MPH speeds.
The Super Sport also features four enlarged turbochargers and larger intercoolers allowing for an increase of peak output from 987 horsepower in the Veyron 16.4 to 1,184 horsepower in the Super Sport. That's a 20% increase in power along with an increase from 922 ft-lb of torque to 1,100 ft-lb of torque in the Super Sport, a 19.3% increase.
Bugatti continuously studies data and revamps engineering efforts to make their cars more agile, safe, and exciting. Since the 2005 release of the original Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 they've certainly proved to the world that they can improve on an already great car. Just 5 years later, in 2010, with the announcement of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, Bugatti has clearly demonstrated that they can make a more agile, safe and exciting car.
That of course, comes at the price of the most expensive car in the world. Just be sure to tell your significant other that you're going to have to pass on the Coach purses. They really aren't that exclusive anyways.
